 Meinrad is a product of both Arkansas and Chicago, but she spent many years in Europe (including a long stay in a Benedictine monastic community in Wales).  She has, since the 1980s, made her home in Albuquerque where she creates art under the watchful eye of Maat, for whom her studio is named.  Meinrad's paintings are hung in collections in Europe and North America.  She has published numerous books, including The Mother's Song and The Litany of the Great River.   These titles are now out of print, however she will have a new book published by Pomegranate Press in the near future.

Meinrad holds several art seminars for women each year at her teaching studio. 

The portfolio of Sacred Marriage images are Meinrad's work for Nicholas Ayo's translation of the Song of Songs, which was published by Continuum Publishing Company, 1997.  We at the Press are honored to offer the portfolio for purchase.
